Company History

1964: 
Pharmacia Denmark’s new plant is fully functional to produce Pharmacia’s active products.


1981: 
The production DEAE-Dextran and Dextran Sulphate begins.


1991: 
The plant changes name to Pharmacia Køge Chemicals.


1997: 
Pharmacia Køge Chemicals is transferred to Amersham Pharmacia Biotech with its head office in Uppsala, Sweden.

1998:
Pharmacia Køge Chemicals changes name to pK Chemicals – PKC.


2000:
Mr. Lars Skov Ibsen (CEO) buys PKC from Amersham Pharmacia Biotech.


2001:
Other owners buy into PKC.


2003:
PKC acquires the product rights for DEAE-Dextran and Dextran Sulphate from Amersham Biosciences.


2005:
PKC acquires CM-Dextran from GE Healthcare Protein Separations.
